I created my Goodreads profile in 2008. At the time it was a small site, having just launched in 2007, yet it would quickly change how I tracked my reading. The idea was brilliant in its simplicity—to give readers a way to log the books they owned, had read or wanted to read, and interact with a wider community of book-lovers via reviews and message boards. For me, the site offered an easy way to
